Problem

Your PortalGuard website sits behind a load balancer or proxy server, and the URLs present in the metadata reference the wrong website protocol. 

Solution

Use the 'Static Metadata URL' setting within the Identity Provider Configuration Editor to consistently force the metadata file to use the appropriate URL structure.

1. Navigate to the PortalGuard server and open the Identity Provider Configuration Editor.

2. Click on the 'General IdP Settings' button.

3. Navigate to the Response tab.

4. Enter in the proper URL structure for the 'Static Metadata URL' value:

   Click the 'Save' button.

6. From the main screen of the Identity Provider Configuration Editor, click the 'Apply to Identity Provider' button. 

7. Click the 'Sync' button.
