How to Obtain PortalGuard Version Information
Problem
You need to determine the version of PortalGuard currently installed in your environment.
Solution
Inspect the details on the four common PortalGuard files using the steps below and send this information to PortalGuard Technical Support.
Navigate to the PortalGuard server and use the File Explorer to open the Program Files directory for your PortalGuard installation.
By default, this path should be:
C:\Program Files\PistolStar\PortalGuard
Locate the 'PG_Config.exe' and 'IdP_Config.exe' files as seen in the screenshot below:
Right click 'PG_Config.exe' and choose 'Properties' from the menu.
Navigate to the 'Details' tab.
Take a Screenshot of this view, resembling the screenshot below:
If you are unable to take/save a screenshot, be sure to record the 'File Version' data for this particular file.
Repeat steps #3-5 for the 'IdP_Config.exe' file.
Navigate to the 'bin' folder.
Locate the 'PG.dll' and 'PG_IdP.dll' files as seen in the screenshot below:
Right-click the 'PG.dll' file and choose 'Properties' from the menu.
Navigate to the 'Details' tab.
Take a screenshot of this view, resembling the screenshot below:
If you are unable to take/save a screenshot, be sure to record the 'File Version' data for this particular file.
Repeat steps #9-11 for the 'PG_IdP.dll' file.
Send all four screenshots to techsupport@portalguard.com.
If you were unable to save screenshots, send along the recorded 'File Version' data instead.
