Problem

You have received a PortalGuard license key as part of a Proof of Concept or a Purchase/Renewal of the PortalGuard Product and you are unsure of how to install the license key on your PortalGuard server.

Solution

• Install the license key on your PortalGuard server and apply the update to the running instance of PortalGuard

Steps for Installing a PortalGuard License Key

1. Navigate to the PortalGuard Server

2. Launch the PortalGuard Configuration Editor

3. Click on the 'Edit Bootstrap' Button

4. Open

   

   Navigate to the 'License' tab

5. Delete any value currently in the 'License Key' field and paste in the value of the new key

6. Click on the 'Refresh License Details' button to validate the key.  Once successful, you should see updated information in the 'License Key Details' section

7. Open

   

   Click on the 'Save' button to commit the changes.

8. Click on the red 'Apply to PortalGuard Server' button

9. Click 'Sync' in the next window

10. Run CMD as Administrator and run the iisreset command to allow the running instance of PortalGuard to recognize and reference the new license key.
